For those of you that are fans of The Buell nameplate and the innovations brought forth in it’s line of motorcycles, The Phoenix is on the rise with Erik Buell Racing and the great news coming from the head office. It won’t be long before you can get your hands on the latest creation to roll out of Wisconsin.
EAST TROY, Wis. – Erik Buell Racing has secured financing from GE Capital to help fuel the growth of the small manufacturer’s dealer network.
Through a deal inked with GE Capital’s Commercial Distribution Finance, EBR dealers will have the option of floorplan financing allowing them to stock, market and sell EBR’s inaugural lineup of motorcycles. The lineup thus far includes the 1190RS, the company’s first sportbike model.” As we ramp up our production capabilities and introduce other models, it’s great to know what we have a finance company that can support us as we expand,” Erik Buell said in a recent press release. “I’m pleased that GE Capital, with its decades of experience in the motorsports industry, continues to support emerging manufacturers like EBR.” Buell founded EBR in 2009 shortly after Harley-Davidson dropped the Buell Motorcycles brand. The 1190RS is the first production bike produced by the company, which plans to build only 100 of the units. EBR reportedly has about 30 dealerships in the United States standing by to take delivery of the much anticipated return of Mr. Buell’s technological masterpieces.
Not only does this mean the return of high performance American street bikes, it also means job creation in a time when many companies are down-sizing or moving operations to less-expensive foreign facilities. K and G Cycles (www.kandgcycles.com) is proud to welcome back Erik Buell and EBR so you may experience his “Metal Wizardry” at a dealership near you.
